Dragon portfolio intro§
The dragon portfolio is my long-term (20+ years) investment portolio. This first post outlines my assumptions about the future, my background, my goals for the portfolio, the composition of the portfolio, etc.
Audience§
I’m actually writing these posts first and foremost for myself. My main goal is to help me remember my assumptions about the future, why I picked one ETF over another, why I allocated such-and-such amount to a certain asset class, etc. I will also be recording detailed snapshots of the portfolio’s performance to help me stay grounded and realistic. I very much look forward to reflecting on how the portfolio performs when I’m right about the future, but even more so when I’m wrong!
I’m making the posts public because I find global macroeconomics fascinating and figure that others might also enjoy debating these ideas. Perhaps a good samaritan will come along and give me feedback that ends up saving me a lot of money.

I don’t have the time nor energy to rebalance the portfolio more than twice a year. I’ve also heard that portfolios perform best when you leave them be and don’t fiddle with them too much.
